My Dad, Or How I Learned to Love the Oldies
Story & Art by Erin Gallagher

A short tale of growing up and learning to appreciate the quirks that always embarrassed or annoyed you about your parents as an teenager. In my case, it was my father's stubborn refusal to listen to (or allow anyone else within earshot to listen to) any music other than 1950's & 60's rock 'n' roll (except the druggie stuff, of course).

The Private Eye
Story & Art by Erin Gallagher

This is my Junior-year thesis project, of which the inspiration had to be Noir films and literature. The work that most inspired me was Chinatown, Sunset Boulevard, Raymond Chandler novels, Andreas Feininger photography, and old New York itself. My story centers on a private "dick" of the female persuasion, who has her own special way of getting needed information. All of the text are quotes from Noir literature.

Death Letter: Story Adapted from the Son House / White Stripes Song
Art by Erin Gallagher

This comic was created as an outlet for me during a very difficult time in my life. The song was an inspiration and a comfort to me and I'm sure to anyone who has lost a loved one.

Conniption: Story & Art by Erin Gallagher
Originally created as a silkscreen book, this story describes a cute little guerrilla warfare-style maneuver I performed as a three- or four-year-old when I wasn't willing to do what the "the man", or my mom wanted me to.
